Summary: As the sun rose, light illuminated the land, but for those few places that the light could not reach, however it may shift. In those shadows, a terrible darkness was born...

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

When the Sun rose, and the Moon fled, the World was illuminated. The City glittered with a different Light, not the Dead Light that sparked as Darkness crept over the World, but True Light, Living Light, as the Sun's golden beams were reflected off hundreds of thousands of windows. In one part of The City, a small House tucked away in the foliage of the trees in the Garden, was still shrouded in Darkness but for the tentative golden beam peircing here and there.

Inside the House, a Girl lay in her bed, the Shadows cocooned around her, dancing and making merry, and there was a terrible pounding on her door as the wooden barrier swung open and a long rectangle of Light peirced the Darkness.

"Bitch!" a shrill Voice screamed, "How dare you steal from me!"

The Girl sat up, Her eyes Dark and the Shadows swirled 'round Her in distress.

"I took nothing from you!" She replied.

"Lies!" the Woman shrilled. "There is no one else in this house but you!" She screamed and stalked away.

"I did nothing," the Girl thought, glaring mutinously. The Shadows swirled angrily around Her slender form. "Why does that hateful shrew blame everything on me? I wish that horrible Woman would Fall forever into the Darkness, never to see her precious Light ever again!"

The Shadows twisted, and what few penetrating beams from the Sun vanished as the Shadows outside Darkened and plunged the House into a facismile of Night. Outside the room, the Lights flickered and went out, and the Woman screamed. In the warm cocoon of Darkness, the Girl smiled.

In that House, the Shadows ruled...
